ArtScape Gallery, an artist cooperative and the product of Council of the Arts, has named Dave Bise its coordinator, a newly created position.
As coordinator, Bise is working with the Council of Arts and the Gallery to build on and expand its programs.
An artist himself, Bise has been involved in pen and ink illustrations for children’s books.
In his career, he was operations manager for a fire protection company, and he said he hopes to put that experience to work for the organization.
Future plans include expansion of programs, more Gallery Nights, which feature artists’ works, and expanding the physical space of the Gallery.
More emphasis on young people getting involved in art programs is part of the plan as well, and partnerships are being forged in the arts and business community to strengthen the Gallery’s programs and offerings.
